New Theatre hosts various shows and productions. They also have a mailing list. Home of the Welsh National Opera.
The New Theatre, Cardiff, is a really lovely place to go to see some of the finest touring shows on offer – from musicals, to serious plays, to stand-up comedy. Recent tours have included Peter Shaffer’s stunning Equus, Dr Doolittle, and many many more. The theatre itself is extremely comfortable, the seating being comfortable enough even for those with bad backs, and the leg room is adequate throughout, especially in the stalls. Prices vary, as this is a commercial theatre so can be expensive, but discounts are available and last minute seats available 30 mins before performance are a bargain. Thoroughly recommended, and has a very pleasant bar and restaurant!

This beautiful theatre within Cardiff is bursting with culture. Everytime I have been there to see a play, it has felt so special because of the whole vibe you get from the place. The traditional feel is brilliant, with all staff in uniform and very professional ice-cream people in the breaks! :) I used to visit there annually to see the pantomime, and as soon as you walk through the doors you forget that you have just stepped off the bustling streets of Cardiff because the look of the place is outstanding. Also, there are function rooms which can be hired for birthday parties (with a bar!) which are great for any event!

I like the location of this theatre, as it is slightly before the main City Centre. It is spacious and comfortable. I have seen two plays here (including Oscar Wilde) and I have enjoyed the experience on both occassions.
